CALL FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

Department of Sociology Middle East Technical University

The Department of Sociology at Middle East Technical University invites expressions of interest from junior scholars at the assistant professor level who wish to join our faculty as part of our strategic expansion in the coming years. 

Please note that this is not a formal job advertisement, but a preliminary step to identify potential candidates for future openings. The establishment of a formal position is contingent upon approval by the university administration and Turkey's Council of Higher Education (YÖK).

Areas of Interest

We are seeking engaged, dynamic, and innovative scholars whose research and teaching reflect the Department’s commitment to critical and interdisciplinary approaches to the study of society. While expressions of interest are welcome from all subfields of sociology in the long run, we are particularly
interested at this time in candidates specializing in Social Demography and Population Studies & Quantitative Methodology, Computational Social Science and Statistics.
